About Check the Weather
A weather site that has never once checked the weather.
What this actually is
Check the Weather is a novelty generator, not a meteorology service. Type in a place, pick a date, and the site invents a forecast — a temperature, a condition, a humidity reading, all of it — using nothing more than a random number generator seeded from what you typed. There is no satellite data, no weather station, no API to a real forecasting service anywhere in the loop.
The name is the whole joke: this is the site you send to someone as if you'd genuinely "checked the weather" for them, when really you just asked a webpage to make something up.
Why we built it
Because "it'll definitely snow at your beach wedding" is funnier with a screenshot attached. We wanted a tool that felt just credible enough — a temperature, a percentage, a little icon — to work as a prank on a friend, a sibling, or a group chat, without ever pretending to be an actual source of weather information.
One rule we take seriously
Don't use this to plan anything real. Not a hike, not a flight, not a decision about whether to bring a jacket to something that matters. For that, use an actual forecasting service. Check the Weather exists purely to entertain.
The fine print
Every forecast on this site is randomly generated and entirely fictional. Check the Weather is not affiliated with any national weather service, meteorological body, or forecasting provider, and none of the results should be relied on for real-world decisions.
